Tiare Feuchtner is a postdoctoral researcher at Aarhus University in Denmark, where she explores approaches for digital assistance through Virtual- and Augmented Reality at companies such as LEGO and Vestas. As a Computer Scientist her main interest lies in human computer interaction and she is fascinated by the opportunities and challenges for interactions in immersive virtual environments.
In pursuit of her Ph.D. at Aarhus University she researched embodied user interfaces for VR and AR applications. Such interfaces permit users to feel that they are interacting with the virtual world directly through their “own” (virtual) bodies, which can be augmented and extended to overcome physical limitations and give the users “superpowers”. During this time she also spent 6 months as visiting researcher at Mel Slater’s Event Lab in Barcelona.
